Texture Lab is a collection of 9 procedural maps including Fire, Water, Fog, Electrics, Strata, Noise, Tiling Geometry, Tiling Lattices, and Tiling Tesselations. These procedural textures work in much the same way as the ones that ship with 3ds max, and can be used in any combination to produce stunning effects.
Elemental Tools
Texture Lab: Elemental Tools is a collection of six procedural mapping types representing; fire, water, fog, electrics, strata and enhanced noise and can be used in any combination to produce stunning effects - everything from animated swirling clouds, and water caustics, to jittery electricity or skin. All of the map types are animatable and loopable (except for fire), which means that you won’t need to render out hundreds of frames to get a "repeatable" animated pattern. Each texture utilizes six color knots that can be altered for an infinite variety of patterns.
Tiling Tools
Texture Lab: Tiling Tools is a collection of material maps consisting of three powerful mapping types. These maps may be applied to any map channel in any material, but are generally used in the Diffuse, Opacity, and/or Bump map channels. With them, you can create tilable patterns of just about any shape. Tiling Tools allows you to create repeatable brick, shingles, fish scales and more in minutes. What’s more, Tiling Tools utilizes very little memory and generates amazingly fast! Plus, the system ships with over 50 preset materials for you to use immediately.
