The Archive contains one of the widest assortments of accurate 3D anatomy models in the world; almost six hundred models in all. Our modelers, in collaboration with numerous medical experts, have spent thousands of hours developing The Archive’s 3D anatomy collection to be precise and beautiful.
Anatomy Collections
In addition to hundreds of individual 3D models, The Archive includes complete anatomy collections. For example the Man9 collection features one of the most accurate polygonal skeletons available, nervous system, circulatory system, reproductive system, digestive system, muscles, and skin. Many of the organs in this collection, including the brain, heart, and kidneys, feature removable outer shells and detailed interiors.
The Visible Human Project
Digimation offers what may be the world’s most accurate skeletal model, generated from the National Library of Medicine’s Visible Human Project.
The Visible Human Project was established to create anatomically detailed, three-dimensional representations of the human body and is dedicated to the improvement of medical education.
The male skeleton was created by tracing 1,871 cross sectional slices of an actual human cadaver provided through the Visible Human Project. Using sophisticated tracing software the medical experts at Visible Productions connected these slices one by one to create this highly accurate human skeleton.
The Visible Human skeleton features all of the imperfections, slight deformities, and subtle variations found in an actual human skeleton. Learn more about the Visible Human Project here.
