|
Welcome to Tree Library Pack #3! Accompanying the releases of SpeedTreeRT 1.7, SpeedTreeCAD 3.4 & SpeedTreeMAX 3.0 is the totally renovated Tree Model Library v2.0. The Library includes all of the trees available prior to the new release except with numerous improvements artistically and in functionality. Library Pack #3 features 33 species out of the Full Tree Library. Highlights include:
The Tree Browser Use the tree control located on the left hand side of this page to preview all of the trees available from IDV, Inc. for use with the SpeedTree product offerings. Trees are organized into libraries and sorted by categories including conifers, broadleaves, palms and cycads, shrubs, and miscellaneous tree models. SpeedTreeRT customers receive all tree models made prior to and during their active support period.
Tree filenames
adhere to the naming convention outlined below:
Identifier The first part of all tree models indicates what type of tree the model represents. Identifiers used are typically common names. Use the tree control to the left to locate trees based on their scientific names, common names, or search alphabetically. Detail The detail section of the filename indicates roughly how many total triangles (leaves, branches, and fronds) are generated when a tree is computed with the parameters in the file. Remember, exact triangle counts vary with the seed being used. The list below displays the different detail levels and the triangle counts they represent. Triangle counts listed below are at the highest level-of-detail. SpeedTreeRT users should note that lower levels of detail (all the way down to a billboard) are generated automatically by SpeedTree.
Description The final part of the filename is reserved for any extra information the modeler wishes to be known about the model. Common examples include "Fall" to indicate the season, "Blooms" to indicate the presence of flowers on the model (e.g., Crepe Myrtle, Southern Magnolia), and "Low" to indicate particularly low polygon counts.
